Flip System for stamps

I have converted all of my clear sets to a 'flip' system.  I just love flipping quickly through all of the baby sets!  Here are the Tim Holtz unmounted stamp refill pockets, with cheap white cs cut to fit- corners rounded, and name of set at top.  Duralar is cut to fit (2 pieces per envelope), the set put between them and slid in behind the whit cs.

My dies are in Essentials by Ellen Storage Envelopes, set on magnetic sheets cut down to size.  I've used the sheets from Darice.

I have a few red rubber sets that have been in the softer, longer, plastic storage cases.  I found them tough to see and get to in the place I had to store them.  And... since I've discovered I love to 'flip', I did this...

I sliced the panels in half and rounded the corners.  Some of the stamps had illustrations I could use, but some I stamped on cheap cs and cut to fit the panel- attching them with doulble sided tape.
I trimmed off the holes on the side of the Avery pockets, just so they would look 'neater'.  The pockets are very slippery, but pocket out enough to accomodate all thicknesses of rubber stamps.

When I sit in my chair, all of the stamps and dies are on the floor next to me. I swivel my chair, lean over, and go flip, flip, flip.  I love it!

Waltzingmouse Pajama Party!

I have not been to a pj party as an adult, but I am pretty sure you can drink wine at one.  So I helped myself to a glass or two.  Unfortunately, my cards get drunker a I do!   Nor can I remember any of my supplies... but here we go...

I made the watercolor backgrounds myself- this is a gorgeous card IRL.  Yeah, I bet we all say that...

There are my entry for tags and Nesties.  The images are from L'il Buddies, and the  tags are Labels 4.

A girl version of the sketch.  Oh wait, I forgot the d(*& banner!

My gift card holder is for a bride to give to her attendants.  My apologies, I was on glass #4 when I did this, lol lol lol.

I'm drinking one of my favorites, cheap, sweet and red.  Hic!  Now I will go post this and travel around everyone else's
 blog-o's.

Impression Obsession Challenge: You Did It!

I like the IO Challenges- they really make me think!  This time I was stumped for over a week before I realized I needed a wedding card soon... and inspiration hit!

That's DIE 130-D, Love Border Word.   The card is for 2 architects getting married, so I drew in what I thought were blueprint types of things with a white gel pen.  I 'named' the blueprint 'YOU DID IT' since that is the name of the challenge.

Remember, you can click on the photo to enlarge it.

Housemouse Easter

I love the Housemouse stamps.  I hate the mice.  Thing is, mice have every right to be here.  I figure we built our house on top of theirs.  And what if I killed one and his Mommy and Daddy were waiting at home with his tea and biscuits????  It's quite the dilemma.  Meanwhile, I love the stamps.

Stampendous for the stamps, Jolee's for the grass, and old layered egg stickers.  It's all anchored on a purchased step fold card.

Easter bunny candy bags

Aren't these the cutest?  I used the tutorial on Splitcoast, but had smaller non-gusseted bags, so had to alter some of the ovals.  Ears and feet are done with two older SU punches; hands and faces are done with Spellbinders ovals cut done a tad.  Egg is from a set of Spellbinders eggs.
Not hard, and they are very sweet!

Happy Impression Obsession Flowers

The new challenge on the IO site is for 'Happy Flowers'.  Now, flowers certainly make me happy, but how does one show that one's flowers are happy???

Maybe like this??

Wait, how about a close-up of those happy faces?

The little ones on the side are being blown away by the wind...
That little blue one doesn't seem so happy at the moment!

Thanks for coming and enjoying my card!

Dies:      IO grass DIE060-I, tiny flowers DIE 140-D

WMS Littlle Darlings

I bought both image sets, and all of the dies of the Little Darlings line from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  The images and sentiments are vintage, which is a hard style for me to create a card with-

I used  Very Vintage Labels #10 to stamp on gingham, and cut with the matching nestie.  Then layered the cradle painted with a light pink Twinkling H2O.  Lots of Versafine Vintage Sepia ink around the edges, pearls, and some little Impression Obsession die cut flowers at the bottom.  The obligatory silk ribbon bow at the top finishes it!
But it was not quick to do- I needed a quick boy card...

I think this is my favorite sentiment of the set.  I used the Papertrey Quatrefoil die and cut out white paper, the painted it with coppery Twinkling H2O.  I did the frame with rectangle nesties, and painted it as well.  The bow was done to match the background shimmer paper, then I put 'rope' on the 'sign' to give it an old fashioned eel.  I hope.

Time flies or Flies time or Time's fun?

I love to laugh.  I read funny books just so I can laugh hard.  Every once in a while I do something that makes me laugh.  Here's an example:

Background papers are from my stash.  The frog, flies and lily pad are from Papertrey's Boy Basics: Frog Hop.  I stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black ink, then colored the frog and pad with Copics.  I did the fly wings with a clear glitter pen.  The pond is watercolor paints.  I have had the old SU sentiment forever, and this was the first time I inked it up!

I cut a 1/8th inch strip of paper, and curled it around a stylus.  A wee fly was glued on using Ranger Glossy Accents

Then I sat back and laughed.  I hope you do too!

Impression Obsession Spring Challenge

Lately I have been participating in the Impression Obsession challenges- you can see the Spring challenge here.
Nothing like birdies, bunnies and babies to make us think 'Spring!!'

I used Impression Obsession Dies
6 in 1 frame  DIE242-YY
bunnies  DIE043-G
tree and frame DIE205-YY
little birds DIE154-A

You can get them at the Impression Obsession or Ellen Hutson stores.

Impression Obsession doesn't have a baby carriage die (hint, hint!).  This one is Memory Craft.  The little birds were cut from Bazzill Icy Mint and Cotton Candy.  White paper is PTI.

Outside with the shadows you can see how I popped up the layers, a la Kittie Caracciolo.  I just love Kittie's cards...sigh...

Sweet Little Bundle

I recently got in some Waltzingmouse baby stamps and dies...cute, cute cute!

The background layer is a Basic Gray paper from a hundred years ago.  Beatrix Potter image was stamped on Stampers Select cardstock.  Ink for the image was Memento black.  Colored with Copics.  Lemon Tart for the (Spellbinders) frame.  Waltzingmouse sentiment stamped in Classic Kraft ink.

I sponged around the image layer with the Classic Kraft.  If the Kraft looks dark to you, it's because I just reinked that cube.

Little bunnnies

Guess I have Spring on the brain, I've been doing baby cards with wee little mice and bunnies.

The bunny stamp is an old one from Holly Pond Hill.  The pink frame is from the Impression Obsession 6 in 1 die.  Everything else is from the stash.

Impression Obsession Birth Day card

I think that this is not what Mitra meant when she said 'Birthday' card.  I am, however, the Baby Card Queen (still making 40 per month) and for Birthing nurses, Birthday means Birth Day.  We have been known to lean over brand new babies, and sing Happy Birthday.  All of us.  In 4 part harmony.  Anyway, here is an Impression Obsession Birth Day card.

The die, is IO 235M, Greetings, Bottom Word Edgers.
The papers are from my stash, and unknown manufacturers.  The background is SU Apricot Appeal.  Papertrey button and twine.  I can't remember where the diaper pins came from, but they started life as brads.  I cut the little metal pieces off and stuck them on with glue dots.

This card will go up to the hospital next week.

I hope the IO Team can laugh with me!

Waltzingmouse L'il Buddies Baby Card

I ordered from Waltzingmouse Stamps the other day, and got motivated to get out some of Claire's Stamps.  I pulled out L'il Buddies- what a ton of sentiments are is tht set.

How's this?

The bunny is set into a baby photo frame- I got a box of them for pennies- they make a great frame!  Hard to see, but I lined the bunny whiskers with a glitter pen.

Hey Claire, are you out there??

Impression Obsession Birthday Challenge

I have been loving my IO dies lately, and channeling Kittie Caracciolo for many of the cards I have done in the past couple of weeks. Impression Obsession has a Birthday challenge going on, and I decided to enter.  Thing is, I only have a few dies, and fewer stamps- ha!  Here's what I was limited to:

The frame die is 242-YY, and the stamp is F2178 Cupcakes.  Here's how it came out:

All glittery, yay!  The cupcakes are colored with Spica and Zig pens.  The cake stand is painted with Twinkling H2O's white, and the edge of the stand I did with Perfect Pearls.  The red frame is a piece of Memory Box paper.

Just to show the glitter!  Looks really good next to the glitter paper frame.

Thanks for looking!

Papertrey Anniversary Day 5

Ok, Day 5 was yesterday; I'm just running a day late!

The challenge is to ink up a stamp that's never been inked.  I don't think I have any of those, but the Year of Flowers Rose is one of my cleanest!  It's a daunting task to color it.

Papertrey Anniversay Day 4

The challenge for day 4 is to make a 'bouquet' using different sets.

My challenge for day 4 is to make a card while sneezing, coughing, bowing my nose, etc etc etc.

Those are the Bloom Builders dies set in the Friendship jar.  The flower centers are from Simple Sunflowers and somewhere else.

Glassine Bags
Tiny Treats Valentine and Mat Stack 2 Collection Stamps
Hibiscus Burst and Pure Poppy ink
Pure Poppy bakers twine
Mat Stack 2 die

also- Versafine Onyx Black ink and various stickers
Nestability circle die
I ran the cut out circles through the Kryon machine to make them into stickers

Papertrey Anniversary: Day 2

Today's challenge is to channel Maile Belles.  Maile is back after taking a year off for a new baby- and speaking of babies, I thought it would be a great idea to channel her for baby cards!  TaDa!!

Seems to me Maile often favors the right side of her card with  images stacked one on another- and she also likes little round embellishments and butterflies.

Lol, I have no small butterflies...

Here's another.  Maile made a onsie, I made a card.
